The hair used in Capelli For You 5th Dimension prostheses is 100% natural.
We never use synthetic fibres or hair of animal origin — only authentic, carefully selected human hair.
We offer three types of hair:
Natural Indian hair, used up to 99% in extensions.
Thai hair.
European hair, our real strength.
European hair is not subjected to chemical treatments like Indian or Thai hair. This makes it softer, silkier, and more versatile.
It also allows any technical treatment — from colouring to bleaching — to be carried out with impeccable results.
Is it uncomfortable?
The Capelli For You 5th Dimension hair prosthesis causes no discomfort and doesn’t feel like a foreign body.
At just 0.3 microns thick, it’s completely imperceptible — even to the person wearing it.
It truly feels like having your own natural hair again.

How does it adhere to the scalp?
All Capelli For You 5th Dimension hair prostheses adhere using medical-grade adhesives or double-sided medical tapes, depending on the model and your needs.
How many base types exist?
There are three types of bases for Capelli For You 5th Dimension hair prostheses:
- Silicone bases
- Mesh (lace) bases
- Polymer bases
Does the prosthesis cause allergies or itching?
Whether made from polymer, silicone, or lace, Capelli For You 5th Dimension hair prostheses do not cause allergies.
The only possible issue could be mild irritation when the base isn’t breathable — for example, when thick silicone is used.
Without ventilation, slight redness or irritation may appear.
However, true allergic reactions to the base materials are extremely rare.
Can the prosthesis come loose?
Occasionally, a prosthesis may lift slightly — most often at the front, but sometimes at the sides or around the perimeter.
This can happen for two main reasons:
- Lack of flexibility in the base – A rigid base, such as thick silicone or lace, cannot move naturally with facial expressions and may detach slightly.
- A polymer base, being more elastic, ensures better adherence.
- Unsuitable adhesive – The adhesive used must match the skin’s pH and perspiration type. Everyone’s skin is different.
To solve this, Capelli For You has developed 17 types of specific adhesives, designed to meet every possible need.
Does the prosthesis require maintenance?
Yes — all hair prostheses require regular maintenance.
For the Capelli For You 5th Dimension system, maintenance is normally done every 20–30 days.
This involves removing the prosthesis, thoroughly cleaning the scalp, and reapplying it.
During this process, the cut and styling are refreshed to keep the result natural and neat.
For those who perspire more heavily — especially in summer — maintenance may be needed every 15 days instead of 30.
How long does a prosthesis last on average?
The lifespan of a Capelli For You 5th Dimension prosthesis varies depending on gender and care.
- For men: average duration 8–10 months, provided at least one or two prostheses are used in rotation.
With three prostheses used alternately (one per month), each can “rest” for around 60 days — prolonging its lifespan. - For women: average duration 10–12 months, again following the same rotation method.
Women’s prostheses tend to last longer thanks to a less acidic scalp pH.
Daily care is key: always comb and wash gently, and avoid tugging.

- When washing, avoid circular rubbing movements to prevent hair from loosening.

Why should I buy more than one prosthesis?
Each hair prosthesis is a handcrafted product, and like any handmade creation, small imperfections can appear — sometimes not immediately, but after a few weeks or months.
If you only had one prosthesis, you could risk being left without one.
It takes around 4–5 months to craft a custom prosthesis, which is why it’s essential to always have at least one spare.
Capelli For You also offers ready-to-wear models, but sometimes a specific colour or model may not be immediately available.
Therefore, anyone starting with hair prostheses should know this golden rule:
Never buy just one prosthesis.
- The ideal approach is to have three prostheses, alternating them monthly so each can rest for about 60 days.
This not only reduces wear but also extends their lifespan. - At minimum, you should have two prostheses — never one.
Is there a warranty?
Yes. The Capelli For You 5th Dimension hair prosthesis comes with a four-month warranty.
This doesn’t mean it only lasts four months, but that within this period, if any hair-loss defect appears, we will take care of it immediately by either:
- Replacing it with a new prosthesis within 30 days, or
- Refurbishing and restoring it to new condition — at no extra cost to you.
It’s a real guarantee — something rare in this sector.

Are there any benefits or tax reliefs for hair prostheses?
Yes, there are fiscal benefits available.

Is the prosthesis noticeable to the touch?
The very first goal in developing the prosthesis — something I began designing for myself many years ago — was to create a membrane so natural it would be completely imperceptible.
In the past, the feeling of perceptibility caused me several issues, especially in moments of intimacy.
When I was with a woman, my biggest fear — actually, my terror — was that she might feel something.
Today, thanks to the creation of this epidermal-layer membrane, the prosthesis is truly undetectable — not only to others, but even to the person wearing it.
Can I get any haircut with the prosthesis?
Absolutely yes. With our prosthesis, you can achieve any type of haircut, including men’s styles and even very high fades.
It’s also possible to style your hair backwards, thanks to the gradual front design.
What Does “Gradual Front” Mean?
It means that the hair doesn’t start out dense and compact right from the hairline.
Instead, the front section is asymmetric and softly graduated, creating a perfectly natural-looking hairline.
Thanks to these features, any haircut or style is possible — something that, unfortunately, isn’t achievable with many other products.
With our prosthesis, your hair can be combed back, shaped, and styled freely, just like natural hair.
What if I’m in another region?

Do I need to use specific products for prosthesis maintenance?
Yes — we’ve developed a complete line of products including shampoo, conditioner, and oil, specially designed to suit the different ways people wear and care for their hair.
It’s very important to use these specific products, as they’ve been formulated to protect the prosthesis polymer and avoid any damage.
Unfortunately, many common haircare products can be too harsh.
Our line, on the other hand, is created to preserve the quality of the hair, keeping it soft, shiny, and beautiful, while also extending the lifespan of the prosthesis.
Do I need to shave my hair before applying the prosthesis?
Yes, some shaving is necessary before applying the prosthesis.
Since it’s a capillary membrane — essentially an epidermal layer — it must adhere directly to the scalp.
There are, however, cases where shaving isn’t required — for example, when the person has already lost all hair or fine fuzz in the affected area. In those situations, the prosthesis can be applied directly.
In cases of androgenetic alopecia, where some hair is still present (though likely to fall out over time), it’s still necessary to shave the area to ensure proper adhesion of the prosthesis.
It’s a bit like applying dental veneers: before placing them, the tooth must be slightly filed down — otherwise, the veneer wouldn’t bond properly.
Similarly, the capillary prosthesis, being a kind of “second skin,” cannot be applied over existing hair.
I’d like to keep my natural hair. Is that possible with a prosthesis?
Yes, absolutely. We’ve also developed a solution called Extra Volume, designed especially for women who wish to keep their natural hair.
This system still uses a capillary prosthesis, but it’s crafted differently: it doesn’t come into direct contact with the scalp, instead using a method similar to that of tape-in extensions.

How long does It take to create a prosthesis?
For a custom-made capillary prosthesis, the current delivery time is approximately 4 to 5 months.
How much does a prosthesis cost?
With complete transparency, the cost of our capillary prostheses varies depending on several factors:
the quality, length, and strength of the hair used.
- For men, a prosthesis with hair measuring 10–15 cm — generally more than sufficient — costs:
• €950 when made with Indian hair
• €1,250 when made with virgin European hair - For women, particularly in cases of total alopecia, prices start at €1,500 and can reach up to €2,500, depending on the level of customisation required.
